Another One; Raiders Win 14th Straight and OAC Record 41st Outdoor Track and Field

WILMINGTON, Ohio—Mount Union's men's track and field team won its 14th straight and 41st overall Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Title Friday afternoon.
 
Mount Union scored 210 points which was 67 points ahead of Baldwin Wallace with 143.
 
Nick Franitti picked up the most outstanding sprinter of the meet as he won the 110-Meter hurdles and 400-Meter hurdles. Head Coach Kevin Lucas and his staff won the staff of the year for the men's side.
 
Vincent Giumenti grabbed the victory in the 1,500-Meters with a time of 3:48.82 which is ranked 11th in Division III. Mount Union grabbed three more scorers with Cale Borland (4th), Liam Blake (6th) and Alex Reese (7th).
 
Franitti won both the 110-Meter hurdles and 400-Meter hurdles with times of 14.88 and 54.84.
 
Vinny Zeren won the 200-Meters with Ryder Greenwood grabbing All-OAC honors with a third place finish in times of 21.68 and 21.70. Brailon Wilcox and Donovan Geiger also scored for Mount Union in fifth and eighth.
 
The quartet of Nick Scherson, Josh Fouche, Logan Butcher and Yahir Hill grabbed the title in the 4x400-Meter relay with a time of 3:15.80.
 
Butcher finished runner-up in the 400-Meters with a time of 47.63 which is ranked tied for 23rd in Division III. Mount Union picked up two more places in the race with Hill (6th) and Drew Fouche (7th).
 
The quartet of Greenwood, Zeren, Geiger and Wilcox won the 4x100-Meter relay with a team of 40.86 which is ranked tied for 12th.
 
Tyler Kohlmann won the 800-Meters with a time of 1:52.60 with Curtis Joppeck earning All-OAC honors in third with a 1:53.81.
 
In the 100-Meters the Purple Raiders grabbed four places with Greenwood earning All-OAC honors in the runner-up spot, Zeren (4th), Tex Malloy (6th) and Wilcox (8th).
 
Xavier Neal grabbed the victory in the triple jump with a leap of 46-feet 8.75-inches.
 
Ryan McVicker finished runner-up earning All-OAC honors in the shot put with a toss of 51-feet 10-inches.
 
Stephen Ulrich and Nick Wong finished fifth and seventh in the 5,000-Meters.
 
Jacob Newby scored for the Raiders in the 400-Meter hurdles with an eighth place finish.
