Vincent Giumenti (Dover) earns a 2024-25 CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-America® Division III Men's Track and Field/Cross country selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Giumenti, earning his Master of Educational Leadership, has a 3.834 GPA and was a Mechanical Engineering undergrad major with a 3.880 GPA. This is the first time Giumenti has been named to the academic All-American team.
Giumenti picked up the school record in the Mile during the indoor track season with a 4:08.58 and finished sixth overall at the NCAA Indoor Championship. He then finished 10th overall at the Outdoor Championships in the 1,500-Meters. Giumenti is a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree and Academic All-District award winner.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his current institution and be nominated by his sports information director.
Since the program's inception in 1952, CoSIDA has bestowed Academic All-America honors on more than 15,000 student-athletes in Divisions I, II, III and NAIA, covering all NCAA championship sports.
