MISSION & VISION
Mission Statement
The mission of the University of Mount Union Athletic Training Department is to provide comprehensive, collaborative, patient-centered healthcare to all intercollegiate athletes while upholding the mission and standards of the University.
Vision Statement
The University of Mount Union Athletic Training Department will provide comprehensive care through injury and illness prevention, rehabilitation services, care and education for all intercollegiate athletes. The department will also provide emergency care to the highest standard to all individuals in need. The department will provide collaborative care in association with other medical professionals across varying disciplines. The department will provide patient-centered healthcare by prioritizing the overall safety, physical health, and mental health of all intercollegiate athletes.
Therefore, we expect members of the Athletic Training Department to provide medical services with the highest standard of care consistent with the Board of Certification Standards of Professional Practice, the State of Ohio Practice Act, and the National Athletic Trainers' Association Code of Ethics.
