WESTERVILLE, Ohio— Mount Union's men's track and field program won the team title and took home five victories at the All-Ohio Championship while producing three top 21 marks in Division III Saturday afternoon.
Ryder Greenwood picked up two victories for the Purple Raiders in the 60-Meters (6.89) and the 200-Meters (21.98). The 21.98 currently puts Greenwood tied for 14
th in Division III.
Ryan McVicker improved his ranking in Division III winning the shot put with a toss of 52-feet 7.5-inches which is tied for 18th.
The 4x200-Meter relay team of
Donovan Geiger,
Eli Edwards,
Yahir Hill and
Michael Cline started the running events off with a victory for Mount Union in a time of 1:31.11
Tyler Kohlman took the top spot in the 800-Meters running a 1:57.61.
Nick Scherson led five Raiders to the top eight in the 400-Meters finishing second with a 50.62.
Hill and Scherson teamed up with
Josh Fouche and
Logan Butcher to finish second in the 4x400-Meter relay.
Liam Blake picked up All-Ohio honors with a third-place finish in the mile with a time of 4:22.33.
In Boston on Friday
Vincent Giumenti broke school record in the mile with a time of 4:08.58 which is 21st in Division III. He broke the 27-year old record which was held by Dave Cooper.
Another top time for the Raiders in Boston came in the mile as well from
Alex Reese running a 4:14.56.
Mount Union will now host the Raider Tune-Up on Friday February 21st before heading to the OAC Indoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Ohio Northern in Ada, Ohio on February 28th and March 1st.
