ALLIANCE, Ohio—Mount Union men's track and field team took home seven wins hosting the Jim Wuske Invite Saturday afternoon.
Vincent Giumenti picked up two individual wins today in the mile (4:16.16) and 1,000-Meter Run (2:34.36) and joined the 4x400-Meter Relay team winning with a time of 3:29.46.
Also joining Giumenti in the 4x400 was Dylan Easterling, Matthew Sopchak and
Alex Reese.
Easterling led the Purple Raiders in the 500-Meters with a 1:08.53 as Mount Union took the top five spots.
Ty Pratt (2
nd), Josh Schoonover (3
rd),
Jacob Jarrett (4
th) and Marty George (5
th) rounded out the five.
Curtis Joppeck picked up the victory in the 800-Meters running a 1:57.65 while Matthew Tschantz ran a 1:58.67 finishing second.
Trey Woodley won the 400-Meters running a 51.01.
Cohen Boyce won the 3,000-Meter Run running an 8:54.23.
Reese finished third in the mile as well with a 4:19.67.
Vinny Zeren had the second fastest time in the 60-Meter prelim running 6.99.
Logan Butcher,
Michael Cline, Kayden Tackett and Alex Vazquez took home second in the 4x200-Meter relay with a time of 1:35.48.
Lawiltaye Robinson finished third in the 60-Meter hurdles with a time of 8.90.
Mason Kutz finished third in the 1,000-Meters with a time of 2:38.30.
Ryan Schnering grabbed third in the high jump with a leap of 6-feet .75-inches.
Ryan McVicker finished third in the shot put with a throw of 52-feet 1.75-inches.
Competing on Friday night was the 4x400 group of Ryder Greenwood,
Haden Gibson, Donovan Geiger and Yahir Hill winning at Akron with a time of 3:18.27.
Mount Union will head to Ashland next weekend competing in the Fourth Jud Logan Light Giver Open on Friday and Saturday.
