GENEVA, Ohio—Mount Union men's track, and field team got the sprints team going along with jumpers at the Spire Midwest Collegiate Open Saturday afternoon.
Vinny Zeren took home the runner-up spot in the 200-Meters with a time of 22.16 while
Haden Gibson (22.50) and Tex Malloy (22.54) finished sixth and ninth overall.
Mount Union had three men in the top eight of the 60-Meter dash as Zeren (6.95), Malloy (7.05), and Brailon Wilcox (7.71) finished third, fifth and eighth.
Gibson and Ryder Greenwood had top 10 finishes in the 400-Meters with times of 49.75 and 50.10 respectively placing fourth and sixth.
In the 4x400-Meter Relay
Jacob Newby, Brailon Wilcox, Donovan Geiger and Yahir Hill finished second overall with a time of 3:22.89.
Cameron Nightingale finished 11th overall in the pole vault with a leap of 13-feet 11.25-inches.
In the 60-Meter hurdles Ryan Palmer finished 12th overall with a time of 8.90.
In the high jump Ryan Schnering got over 5-feet 10-.75-inches good for 15th overall.
Deuce Mays was the top triple jumper for Mount Union with a jump of 38-feet taking home 17th.
Jesse Kilgore led the way in the long jump for the men with a leap of 20-feet .5-inches finishing 18th overall.
Mount Union will host the Wuske Invitational next Saturday in the Peterson Field House.
