ALLIANCE, Ohio- Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team lost to non-conference opponent Wooster, 138-99, Friday night.

The Purple Raiders (5-2) were led by Dana Lautenschleger (Solon/Solon), Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick/Brunswick) and Regina Saxon (Hudson/Hudson) who each placed first in two events on the night.

Lautenschleger won the 1000 yard freestyle (10:53.18) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:20.75). Oktavec won the 100 yard backstroke (1:02.78) and was included in the 200 yard medley relay first place finish (1:55.44). Saxon was also a part of the 200 yard medley relay and also placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:11.77).

Jessica Hirsh (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) and Elise Pichola (Rocky River/Rocky River) were also including in the 200 yard medley relay.

Mount Union returns to the pool tomorrow Saturday, Jan. 14 hosting Ohio Northern at 1:00 pm in the Hammond Natatorium.
