Mount Union's Kenadee Wayt and Mary Mason Named CSC Academic All-American For NCAA Division III Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country

AUSTIN, Texas – Mount Union grad student Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W. Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) and senior Mary Mason (Alliance / Marlington) earns 2024-25 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division III Women's Track and Field/Cross country All-American's selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
 
Wayt, a Physician Assistant Studies grad student with a 3.91 GPA and had a 4.0 GPA in undergrad from Wheeling, West Virginia earns her fourth All-American honor from CSC.
 
Wayt was the 2024 Elite 90 Women's Indoor Track and Field award winner while picking up the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) top female athlete for the indoor season in 2024 and was the 2023 Elite 90 Women's Outdoor Track and Field award winner.
 
Wayt currently has the most female National Titles with five and All-Americans finishes at Mount Union with 23 over her career while being fourth in Division III history. Wayt in her career also has 14 school records to go along with 24 OAC wins and 33 All-OAC finishes.
 
Mason grabbed the seventh ever Elite 90 award winner and third female Purple Raider to win the award with a perfect 4.0 GPA in Exercise Science is from Alliance, Ohio earning her first CSC All-American honor.
 
Mason finished seventh in the 800-Meters at the NCAA Indoor Championships and third overall in the 4x400 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships this season. She finished her career with six All-American honors and six school records to go along with 14 OAC Wins and 22 All-OAC finishes.
 
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his current institution and be nominated by his sports information director.
 
Since the program's inception in 1952, CoSIDA has bestowed Academic All-America honors on more than 15,000 student-athletes in Divisions I, II, III and NAIA, covering all NCAA championship sports.
