Halle Cochran (Salem) and sophomore
Kalie Campbell (Wooster / Triway) have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams.
Mason grabbed the seventh ever Elite 90 award winner and third female Purple Raider to win the award with a perfect 4.0 GPA in Exercise Science. She finished seventh in the 800-Meters at the NCAA Indoor Championships and third overall in the 4x400 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships this season. This is the third time Mason has been named to the Academic All-District team.
Wayt is a previous winner of the CSC Academic Division III Track and Field Team. She is also a two-time First Team All-American for CSC. She currently has a 3.91 in Physician Assistant Studies and was a 4.0 Biology major in undergrad. She was also part of the 4x400 at the Outdoor Championships this year that finished third. This is the third time Wayt has been named to the Academic All-District team.
Arnold is an exercise science major with a 4.0 GPA. She competed in cross country and was a distance athlete on the track for the Purple Raiders. Arnold is a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree while being named to the Academic All-District for the first time.
Cochran is also an exercise science major with a 3.975 GPA. She competed in cross country and was a mid-distance athlete for Mount Union on the track. Cochran is a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree while being named to the Academic All-District for the first time.
Campbell is a primary education major with a 3.938 GPA. She competes in the long jump and short sprints for Mount Union on the track. Campbell is on the Academic All-OAC honoree list and Academic All-District for the first time.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 15. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
