GENEVA, New York—The Mount Union men's volleyball team split its weekend matches against No. 10 Hobart and Houghton Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders (8-6) dropped the first match of the day to No. 10 Hobart (13-1) in straight sets of 25-18, 25-12 and 25-21.
Aaron Armour (Waukesha, Wis. / Catholic Memorial) led the way with seven kills while
Camden Weeg (Goodyear, Ariz. / Agua Fria) finished with six.
Will Heeney (Hudson / Walsh Jesuit) finished with 20 assists and
Peyton Koszelak (Eden, N.Y. / Eden) finished with 14 digs.
Hobart was led by Andrew Kim with 14 kills, Zack Farren with 16 assists and Gavin Meador with 12 digs.
In the second match Mount Union swept Houghton (0-6) 25-20, 25-15 and 25-14.
Mount Union was led by
Michael Bowler (Broadview Heights / Brecksville-Broadview Heights) with nine kills and Weeg with six.
Heeney led the way in assists with 17 while
Max Kaiser (Lewis Center / Olentangy) finished with 11 assists and Koszelak finished with nine digs.
Mount Union will continue a road trip as they head to Hiram on Tuesday with a 7 PM start time.
