WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's soccer team tied Otterbein 2-2 in their Ohio Athletic Conference opener on Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals (4-1-5, 0-0-1 OAC) would strike first when Nick Isaac was able to find the back of the net in the 28
th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
The Purple Raiders (7-1-3, 0-0-1 OAC) would tie the game in the 38
th minute when senior
Reese Utter (Dover) scored on a penalty kick to tie the game at a goal apiece.
Otterbein would reclaim the lead in the 62
nd minute, this time scoring off a Patrick Ahrens goal to claim a 2-1 lead. Mount Union would answer once again when senior
Zander Plizga (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton)
found the back of the net in the 88
th minute as the Raiders and Cardinals would go on to draw 2-2.
The Raiders are on the road again next when they travel to Wilmington for an OAC matchup with the Quakers on Saturday, October 11 at 7 p.m.
