THOUSAND OAKS, California—The Mount Union men's volleyball team fell in straight sets, 29-27, 25-16 and 25-19 to No. 15 Nationally Ranked UC Santa Cruz Saturday afternoon on the west coast.  
 
The Purple Raiders (2-1) were led by Aaron Armour (Waukesha, Wis. / Catholic Memorial) and Michael Bowler (Broadview Heights / Brecksville-Broadview Heights) with six kills each.
 
Will Heeney (Hudson / Walsh Jesuit) led the way with 20 assists while Jack McClure (Massillon / Jackson) finished with nine digs.
 
UC Santa Cruz (3-1) was led by Riley Norman with 16 kills, Andrew Pak with 40 assists and Marcus Donchuanchom with 13 digs.
 
Mount Union will return to the eastern timezone and head to Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, January 14th to take on Geneva with a 7 PM start time.
