BEREA, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Baldwin Wallace 149-78 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.
Top Finishers:
- 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of senior Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne), junior Lucas Starling (Lexington), sophomore Bruce Beyer (Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth-Salem) and junior Jacob Hathaway (Lexington) won the event with a time of 1:37.72
- 1000-yard freestyle: senior Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) won the event with a time of 10:21.36, junior Keith Turnbull (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) finished second with a time of 11:06.78 and senior Thomas Ginocchi (Oakdale, Pa. / West Allegheny) finished third with a time of 11:19.28
- 200-yard freestyle: Hathaway won the event with a time of 1:47.21 and senior Conner Arneson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) finished second with a time of 1:48.30
- 50-yard freestyle: Starling won the event with a time of 21.93, sophomore Daniel Claxton (Georgetown, Guyana / West Demerara Secondary) finished second with a time of 22.81 and freshman Andre Popovic (Twinsburg) finished third with a time of 23.21
- 400-yard individual medley: Wilkson finished second with a time of 4:34.84
- 200-yard butterfly: senior Michael Hubbard (Springfield, Va. / Homeschool) finished second with a time of 1:58.17
- 100-yard freestyle: Starling won the event with a time of 48.10, Beyer finished second with a time of 48.45 and Popovic finished third with a time of 51.44
- 200-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 1:59.18
- 500-yard freestyle: Cossin won the event with a time of 4:53.70 and Arneson finished second with a time of 4:58.49
- 200-yard breaststroke: sophomore AJ Quisno (Toledo / St. Francis De Sales) won the event with a time of 2:18.52
- 400-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Beyer, Turnbull, Arneson and Cossin won the event with a time of 3:16.35 and a team consisting of Claxton, sophomore Angelo Lawrence (Mooresville, Ind. / Center Grove), Popovic and sophomore Cameron Burnett (Canfield) finished second with a time of 3:25.95
The Raiders head to Wooster High School next for the first day of the Wooster Invitational on Thursday, December 5.
