Men's Swimming and Diving: Raiders Take Down BW

ALLIANCE, Ohio - Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Baldwin Wallace 149-101 in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual Friday evening in Hammond Natatorium. 

The Purple Raiders improve their record to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the OAC. 

Leading Mount Union was freshman Charles Marshall (Painesville) with first place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, and the 200-yard medley relay. Also part of the winning relay team was sophomore Nick Dye (Massillon / Massillon Jackson), senior Logan Palochak (Hopewell, Pa. / Hopewell), and freshman Jason Tondra (Canton / Massillon Jackson).

Other first place finishes came from senior Cole Ellsworth (Temperance, Mich. / Bedford) in the 1000-yard freestyle, Tondra in the 50-yard freestyle, Palochak in the 100-yard backstroke, sophomore Kyle Kresl in the 500-yard freestyle, and team of Palochak, sophomore Brian Regovich (Willowick / Eastlake North), Tondra, and Ellsworth in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The Raiders return to the pool Friday, Nov. 15 hosting Wooster at 7 p.m.
