AKRON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team finished in second place after the final day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at Ocasek Natatorium on Saturday evening.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 898 which was 82.5 points behind first place Ohio Northern.
All-OAC Finishers
- 1650-yard freestyle: junior Cameron Burnett (Canfield) finished second with a time of 16:38.73
- 200-yard backstroke: senior Jacob Hathaway (Lexington) broke the OAC record in prelims with a time of 1:48.96 and then won the event in finals with a time of 1:50.29 and freshman Jackson Hodkey (Mentor) finished second with a time of 1:53.82
- 100-yard freestyle: freshman Ethan Harvey (Macedonia / St. Ignatius) finished second with a time of 45.77 and senior Lucas Starling (Lexington) finished third with a time of 46.02
- 200-yard breaststroke: freshman Trey Nickoli (Lexington) finished third with a time of 2:06.22
- 200-yard butterfly: junior Evan Kemp (North East, Pa. / North East) finished in second place with a time of 1:55.25
- 400-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Hathaway, Harvey, Kemp and Starling won the event and broke the school record with a time of 3:02.33
