RIVER FOREST, Illinois—The Mount Union men's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders (6-6) fell in four sets, 19-25, 20-25, 25-16 and 23-25, to Concordia Chicago (4-2) in the first match of the day.
Luke Pemberton (Jackson) finished with 12 kills leading Mount Union while
Peyton Koszelak (Eden, N.Y.) led the team in assists and digs with 15 each.
Concordia was led by Tyler Holubek with 15 kills, Elijah Mosher with 43 assists and 13 digs.
In the second match of the day Mount Union fell in straight sets, 25-22, 25-17 and 25-20, to Dominican (Ill.) (7-1).
Pemberton once again led the team in kills with 12 again.
Justin Peters (Pittsburgh, PA / Canon-McMillan) led the team in assists with 20 while him and Koszelak finished with eight digs.
Dominican was led by Kendall Esparza with 13 kills, Landon Kassulke with 34 assists and Tyler Vrska with nine assists.
Mount Union will return to play next weekend on Friday at Stevenson University taking on Randolph-Macon at 4 pm.
