Men’s Volleyball: Bowler Named All-American

| By:
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Mount Union men's volleyball junior middle hitter Michael Bowler (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) was named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Second Team All-American.

Bowler was recently named Region IV All-Region and the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) Offensive Player of the Year, which was just the second time a Mount Union men's volleyball player had been named for both awards, and now he is the second All-American ever in program history (Cameron Ternent, 2022).

Bowler led Mount Union in hitting percentage at .396, which tied for 17th in NCAA Division III and was third-best in the conference. He was second on the team in total blocks (81), kills per set (2.59), and total kills (269).

No. 20 nationally ranked Mount Union, under MCVL Coach of the Year Matt Mihelic, concluded its season in the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Tournament in a 3-2 set thriller loss to no. 4 nationally ranked Springfield. Mount Union finished at 20-9, its second most wins in program history, and went a perfect 8-0 in the conference for the first time in school history. The Raiders were the MCVL regular season and tournament champions—for the second time in both.
