Women's Lacrosse: Raiders Fall on the Road in OAC Play

BEREA, Ohio—Mount Union's women's lacrosse team fell 15-12 on the road at Baldwin Wallace in Ohio Athletic Conference play Wednesday night.  
 
The Purple Raiders (7-4, 2-1 OAC) were led by Eden Kesler (Chargin Falls / Kenston) with four goals.
 
Katie Clark (Hudson / Walsh Jesuit) finished with three goals and two assists with Mackenzie Kolstad (Victor, N.Y. / Victor) scoring three goals.
 
Emily Funk (Strongsville) had two assists and a goal while Reese Fuenfstueck (Fairport, N.Y. / Fairport) finished with a goal.
 
Tara Santoro (Canfield) finished with six ground balls and two caused turnovers while Abby Lindkvist (Greenlawn, N.Y. / Harborfields) made 10 saves.
 
Baldwin Wallace (6-6, 2-0 OAC) was led by Emma Northup, Clare Alic and Carley House with three goals. Caroline Potteiger was in goal and made nine saves in the win.
 
Both teams scored four goals in the first quarter with Kesler scoring two goals and Clark with Fuenfstueck scoring one goal.
 
Baldwin Wallace outscored Mount 4-2 in the second quarter with Kesler and Kolstad scoring a goal.
 
Baldwin Wallace outscored Mount Union again this time 5-2 with Clark and Kolstad scoring a goal.
 
The final quarter Mount Union outscored Baldwin Wallace 4-0 but was not enough as Clark, Kesler, Funk and Kolstad each scored a goal.
 
Mount Union will now host Otterbein on Saturday at 1 PM which will be senior day for the Raiders.
