GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania—The Mount Union men's lacrosse team took care of business on the road winning 32-1 over Thiel Wednesday night.
The Purple Raiders (3-0) were led by
Spencer Logsdon (Akron / Archbishop Hoban) with eight goals and
Talon Osmun (Mattawan, Mich. / Mattawan) with seven goals and three assists.
Todd Siford (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Shaler) had three goals while
Liam Erwin (Victor, N.Y. / Victor),
Noah Grigson (Portsmouth, R.I. / Bishp Stang) and
Braylon Li (Richfield / Revere) each had two goals.
Josh Pasco (Wadsworth),
Josh McCawley (Horsehead, N.Y. / Horsehead),
Dylan Lulow (Painesville / Riverside),
Alec Feigel (Pittsburgh, PA / North Hills),
Vinny Marszalek (Angola, N.Y. / LakeShore),
Dane Matuscin (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Canon-McMillan) and
AJ Green (Cleveland / Benedictine) each had one goal.
Logan Gunderman (Buffalo, N.Y. / Hamburg) picked up the victory finishing the first quarter with no goals.
Logan North (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Canon-McMillan) won 19 of the 22 face offs he took while
Sean Hanson (Fairfax, Va. / W.T. Woodson) picked up five ground balls.
Thiel (0-2) was led by Zach Melin with one goal while Ethan Narby made 12 saves.
Mount Union jumped out to a 12-0 lead after the first quarter and a 24-0 lead at the halftime break. Mount Union gave up its lone goal to Thiel in the third quarter as Mount Union outscored them 4-1 and then outscored Thiel 4-0 in the final quarter.
Mount Union will stay on the road heading to Washington, PA to take on Washington & Jefferson on Friday with a 7 PM start time.
