Women's Volleyball: Raiders Battle in Four Set Loss

ADA, Ohio—The Mount Union women's volleyball team fell in four sets,18-25, 26-24, 19-25, 22-25, to Ohio Northern Saturday afternoon in Ohio Athletic Conference play.
 
The Purple Raiders (9-16, 1-5 OAC) were led by Olivia Hayes (Canton / Massillon Jackson) and Zoe Sweigart (Canal Winchester) with 11 kills. Riley Meister (Madison) and Sadie Thomas (Cambridge Springs, Pa. / Maplewood) finished with 10 kills each.
 
Anna Mihacevich (Hinkley / Padua Franciscan) and DeLani Durst (Clyde) finished with 25 and 24 assists respectively.
 
Averi Haley (Orrville) had a game-high 34 digs while Thomas finished with 13 and Mihacevich had 11.
 
Ohio Northern (9-15, 3-4 OAC) was led by Summer Hoying with 24 kills, Madelyn Banks with 31 assists and Hoying with 21 digs.
 
Mount Union will return home to take on Marietta on Wednesday at 7 pm in its home finale.
