ROCK ISLAND, Illinois—The Cross country men and women teams competed at the Augustana Interregional Invitational Saturday morning.
The women's team finished in 31
st overall with 849 points while No. 6 nationally ranked Wisconsin La Crosse wo the meet with 88 points.
Savannah Dennison (Mentor) raced against some of the best in Division III and took home 28
th overall with a time of 22:30.9.
Ashley Cooper (Mentor) and
Taylor Hennessey (Madison) finished 178
th and 217
th with times of 24:13.4 and 24:38.4 respectively.
Marah Bethel (Barnesville) and
Zoe Seabeck (Concord / Painesville Riverside) rounded out the team scoring in 239
th and 293
rd with times of 24:52.5 and 25:35.3.
Noelle Dougherty () also competed for the Raiders running a time of 25:42.2.
The men's team finished 20
th overall with 638 points while No. 1 nationally ranked Wisconsin La Crosse won the meet with 56 points.
Stephen Ulrich (Louisville) and
Jake Parkhurst (Medina) led the way placing 102
nd and 116
th with times of 25:55.5 and 26:03.3 respectively.
Jason Hammar (Canfield),
Liam Blake (Alliance / Marlington) and
Caleb Cabrera (Amherst / Steele) rounded out the scoring placing 153
rd, 162
nd, and 174
th with times of 26:19.6, 26:22.2 and 26:25.9.
Cohen Boyce (Alliance / Marlington) and
Tyler Kohlmann (Huron) rounded out the top seven with times of 26:48.3 and 27:03.4.
Mount Union will now head to the postseason competing at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday, November 1
st in Westerville, Ohio hosted by Otterbein University.
