ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer team fell in a non-conference matchup against Wittenberg 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers (2-3) struck first when Sarah Deaton was able to find the back of the net in the 27
th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Wittenberg would then add to their lead in the 62
nd minute this time scoring off the foot of Brooke Mullis to increase the lead to two goals.
The Purple Raiders (2-3) would cut into the lead in the 87
th minute when freshman
Maddy Adams (Bowling Green) scored off an assist from senior
Logan Godfrey (Huntingtown, Md.) to cut the lead to a goal, but that is as close as they would get as the Tigers would go on to win 2-1.
The Raiders hit the road next when they travel to Cleveland to take on Case Western Reserve on Wednesday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m.
