ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer team lost an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup 4-0 against Ohio Northern on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (9-5-1, 5-1 OAC) would strike first when Libby Johnson found the back of the net in the 12
th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Then, just over a minute later Johnson would add her second goal of the game to stretch the lead to two goals. Ohio Northern would add one more goal in the first half when Elizabeth Pierce netted one in the 45
th minute.
The Polar Bears would add a fourth goal in the 90
th minute, scoring off a header from Emma Wingarter to extend the lead to four goals.
The Purple Raiders (5-10-1, 1-5-1 OAC) wouldn't be able to answer as Ohio Northern would go on to win 4-0.
Mount Union hits the road next when they travel to Marietta on Wednesday, October 30 for an OAC matchup with the Pioneers at 7 p.m.
