CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mount Union baseball team lost, 15-5, at Case Western Reserve in a non-conference contest on Sunday.
Mount Union (21-14) was tied with Case Western (26-12) after two innings of play. The Spartans pulled away with four runs in the third and three in the fifth. Case out-hit the Raiders, 21-11. Senior
Zack Mazza (Flint, Mich. / Powers Catholic) had a game-high two RBIs for the Raiders. Mount sophomore
Jaylen Leedy (Massillon, Ohio / Massillon Washington) moved to 0-1 on the season, pitching 2.1 innings and giving up eight runs (seven earned) off nine hits and striking out one.
The Raiders are back on the field Tuesday, May 2. Mount will first resume its suspended game against Wooster at 3 p.m., followed by a nine-inning game against Wooster.
