ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union men's lacrosse defeated Muskingum Wednesday night in Kheres Stadium.
The Purple Raiders (5-7, 2-3 OAC) were led by senior Logan Gebhart (McDonald P.A./Canon-McMilan) with three goals and three assists.
Muskingum (5-7, 1-4 OAC) had five different goal-scorers across all five goals.
In the first quarter, the Purple Raiders held Muskingum to zero goals as Grant Dunmire scored a pair of goals and Logan Addonizio scored one goal.
In the second quarter, pairs of goals came from Logan Gebhart and Connor Addison. Muskingum managed to get their first goal of the contest by Jack Watts. Mount Union led 7-1 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Eli Ciotti would score his first of the game and Gebhart would score a pair of his own. Muskingum's Michael Honeycutt, Grant Webster, and Drew Schneider would score one goal each. Drew Davis also scored one goal. The Purple Raiders went into the fourth and final quarter up 10-5.
In the fourth quarter, neither team managed to score a goal. The final horn blew as Mount Union finished on top 10-5.
Mount Union's next game is in Wilmington, Ohio on Saturday as they take on Wilmington in an OAC matchup at 1 p.m.
