Women's Swimming: Raiders Cruise Past Westminster on Senior Day

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team defeated Westminster 189-102 in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon.

Top Finishers
  • 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of senior Alexis Schuller (Middleburg Heights / Berea-Midpark), freshman Charlotte Cohagan (Parma / Padua Franciscan), junior Maddie Horrigan (Hudson) and freshman Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark) won the event with a time of 1:55.10
  • 1650-yard freestyle: sophomore Emma Kreber (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) won the event with a time of 18:54.70
  • 200-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 2:01.48 and freshman Isabelle Parr (Brunswick) finished second with a time of 2:03.98
  • 50-yard backstroke: Schuller won the event with a time of 29.43
  • 50-yard breaststroke: junior Lauren Hurley (Perry) finished second with a time of 36.64
  • 100-yard butterfly: Horrigan won the event with a time of 1:01.99 and freshman Nina Veldt (Holland, Mich.) finished second with a time of 1:03.32
  • 50-yard freestyle: Cohagan won the event with a time of 25.58
  • 100-yard freestyle: Parr won the event with a time of 57.47 and sophomore Emily Hauck (Avon Lake) finished second with a time of 58.72
  • 100-yard backstroke: Calaway won the event with a time of 1:03.76 and sophomore Erika Fogarty (Dimondale, Mich. / Holt) finished second with a time of 1:06.69
  • 100-yard breaststroke: Cohagan won the event with a time of 1:14.57 and Hurley finished second with a time of 1:19.21
  • 500-yard freestyle: Schuller won the event with a time of 5:29.32 and Veldt finished second with a time of 5:47.26
  • 50-yard butterfly: Horrigan won the event with a time of 27.50 and Fogarty finished second with a time of 28.83
  • One-meter diving: freshman Claire Fried (Kent / Kent Roosevelt) won the event with a score of 169.10
The Raiders return to action on Saturday, February 4 when they host Saint Vincent in their final dual meet of the season at 1 p.m. in Hammond Natatorium in Alliance.
