Women's Swimming: Raiders Ice Out Polar Bears

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team defeated Ohio Northern in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup 187-99 on Saturday afternoon.

Top Finishers
  • 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of senior Alexis Schuller (Middleburg Heights / Berea-Midpark), freshman Charlotte Cohagan (Parma / Padua Franciscan), junior Maddie Horrigan (Hudson) and freshman Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark) won the event with a time of 1:53.66
  • 1000-yard freestyle: sophomore Emma Kreber (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) won the event with a time of 11:13.77 and senior Ziv Marco (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson) finished second with a time of 11:23.61
  • 200-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 1:58.70 and freshman Isabelle Parr (Brunswick) finished second with a time of 2:05.21
  • 100-yard backstroke: Schuller finished second with a time of 1:03.76
  • 100-yard breaststroke: Cohagan finished second with a time of 1:13.63
  • 200-yard butterfly: freshman Nina Veldt (Holland, Mich.) finished second with a time of 2:22.74
  • 50-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 25.41 and Horrigan finished second with a time of 25.68
  • 100-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 54.91 and Horrigan finished second with a time of 57.24
  • 200-yard backstroke: Schuller finished second with a time of 2:16.61
  • 200-yard breaststroke: Cohagan won the event with a time of 2:40.28
  • 500-yard freestyle: Marco won the event with a time of 5:30.95 and Kreber finished second with a time of 5:34.58
  • 100-yard butterfly: Horrigan won the event with a time of 1:01.41
  • One-meter dive: freshman Claire Fried (Kent / Kent Roosevelt) won the event with a score of 175.57
  • 200-yard individual medley: Kreber finished second with a time of 2:25.84
  • 400-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Cohagan, Schuller, Fogarty and Parr won the event with a time of 3:48.33
The Raiders hit the road next when they take on Akron and Baldwin Wallace on Friday, January 20 at 6 p.m. in Akron, Ohio.
