ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union women's swimming and diving team lost a dual meet to Wooster 156-119 on Friday night.
The Raiders 200-yard medley relay team consisting of freshman
Ava Breton (Cheshire, Conn.), freshman
AnneMarie Trench (Sterling, Va. / Home school), sophomore
Maddie Horrigan (Hudson) and senior
Erika Drager (Berea / Berea-Midpark) started the night with a second-place finish.
Junior
Alexis Schuller (Middleburg Heights / Berea-Midpark) finished second with a time of 1:59.03 in the 200-yard freestyle, with senior
Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Texas) finishing third.
Breton took first in the 50-yard backstroke finishing with a time of 29.02. While Horrigan finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.64.
Schuller and Incristi also finished second and third in the 50-yard freestyle finishing with times of 26.03 and 26.19 respectively. With Drager taking second in the 100-yard freestyle and Horrigan taking third.
Breton won the 100-yard backstroke finishing with a time of 1:01.63. While Trench finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.78.
Junior
Ziv Marco (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson) finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:32.05.
Freshmen
Mia Marciano (Austintown / Fitch) and
Jordyn Laslo (Mount Vernon) finished first and second in the one-meter dive.
The Raiders 400-yard freestyle relay team featuring Schuller, Drager, Breton and Incristi finished the night with a second-place finish with a time of 3:48.73.
The Raiders will be back in action Thursday, December 2 at the Wooster Invitational at Wooster High School in Wooster, Ohio.
