BEREA, Ohio – The Mount Union women's soccer team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference opponent 2-1 on Wednesday night.
The Yellow Jackets (9-9-0, 4-4-0 OAC) struck first in the 34
th minute when Sydney Rice was able to find the back of the net.
The Purple Raiders (10-5-1, 6-2-0 OAC) came back and tied it up in the 52
nd minute when sophomore
Molly Eubanks (New Concord / John Glenn) scored off a penalty kick.
Junior
Andrea Decker (Hilliard / Hilliard Bradley) gave the Raiders the lead in the 71
st minute when she was able to find the back of the net.
Freshman goalkeeper
Rylee Oldfield (Liberty Twp. / Lakota East) registered a new career high in saves, with twelve in the victory.
The Raiders are back in action Saturday, October 30 at 1 p.m. in Ada, Ohio as they take on Ohio Northern.
