Box Score 2 CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Mount Union's softball team lost 9-0 and 9-1 at Case Western Reserve Sunday at Mather Park.
The Purple Raiders are now 10-8 on the season while Case Western Reserve is 9-5 overall.
Sophomore Allie Goldy (Painesville / Riverside) had a pair of hits and drove in a run to pace Mount Union at the plate.
Goldy had an RBI single in the first inning of game two which gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead but the Spartans scored nine unanswered runs over the next five innings to win 9-1 in six innings.
In game one, Case Western Reserve scored two runs in the first inning, blew the game open with a five-run second and scored two more in the fourth then ended the game in five innings, 9-0.
