ALLIANCE, Ohio-- Mount Union's women soccer team won 1-0 over Muskingum in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Wednesday night at Mount Union Stadium.

With the win Mount Union improves to 1-3 in the OAC and 5-6-1 overall while Muskingum drops to 1-3 and 6-8 overall.

Junior Cortni Arp (Copley) got the lone goal for the Purple Raiders in the 59th minute.

Mount Union dominated the game out shooting Muskingum 21-4, 11-4 in corner kicks and holding 55% of the possession.

Arp contributed eight shots for the Raiders while sophomore Sara Thomas (Barberton) had four shots.

Freshman goalkeeper Skyelar Mantz (Lodi / Cloverleaf) got her third shutout of the season making three saves.

Mount Union plays next at home Saturday, October 19th at 7 p.m. against Capital.
