ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's soccer team fell to Chatham (Pa.) 1-0 Wednesday evening at Mount Union Stadium.  

Junior Lauren Beech (Hanoverton/United Local) and sophomore Cortni Arp (Copley) both tallied three shots for the Purple Raiders while freshman goalkeeper Michelle Kissane (Amherst/Marion L. Steele) grabbed 13 saves. 

Chatham (Pa.) scored in the 38th minute off a ball that struck the upper right corner of the net to give the Cougars the 1-0 advantage heading into halftime.

The Cougars outshot the Purple Raiders in the match 27-11. 

Mount Union drops to 3-3 with the loss.

Mount Union returns to the field on Saturday as they host Grove City (Pa.) at Mount Union Stadium. Start time is set for 7 p.m.
