ADA, Ohio--Mount Union's women's soccer squad defeated No. 23 ranked Ohio Northern in Ohio Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon by a final score of 2-1.

Junior Julia Krause (Mantua/Crestwood) scored one goal in the contest while junior Maggie O'Donnell (Avon) recorded her fourth goal of the season. Freshman goalkeeper Michelle Kissane (Amherst/Marion L. Steele) stood tall in net recording five saves in the match. 

Krause netted her goal in the eighth minute with a ball that struck the net from 10 yards out.

O'Donnell doubled the Purple Raider advantage to start the second half off a rebound in the box.

Mount Union concludes the regular season 10-6 and 7-2 in the OAC while Ohio Northern falls to 13-3-1 and 7-1-1 in the OAC. 

The Purple Raiders start the OAC Tournament on Tuesday, October 30 at Mount Union Stadium.
