CANTON, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team defeated Malone University Friday night 145-126 at C.T. Branin Natatorium.
Leading the way for the Purple Raiders was senior Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick), who won the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke and a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay. Joining Oktavec on the relay was junior Elise Pichola (Rocky River), and freshmen Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Tex./Rockwall) and Lindsey Collins (Uniontown/Massillon Jackson).
Also winning events were freshman Callie Landry (Broussard, La./Teurling Catholic) who won the 1000-yard freestyle, Lindsey Collins (Uniontown/Massillon Jackson) in the 200-yard freestyle, Bella Wagner (Mantua/Crestwood) in one-meter diving and Kaitlyn DeWitt (Hudson) in the 500-yard freestyle.
A quick turnaround for the Purple Raiders as they travel to Hiram tomorrow October 20 at 1 p.m.
