ADA, Ohio -- Mount Union's womens swimming and diving lost an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup with Ohio Northern Sunday afternoon by a final score of 160-120.
Junior Lauren Oktavec (Brunswick) recorded two wins on the day to lead the Purple Raiders. Oktavec got the first win of the day for the Raiders in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.78. Oktavec recorded her second win of the day in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:13.52.
Junior Regina Saxon (Hudson) recorded a win in the 200 yard breastroke with a time of 2:36.76.
To cap off the day for the Raiders, the 200 yard freestyle relay team of sophomore Erin Bain (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk), senior Ann Zielasko (Silver Lake/Hoban), sophomore Elise Pichola (Rocky River) and senior Jenna Kassinger (Silver Lake/Hoban) won a close race with a time of 1:47.40.
The Raiders will be in the pool again in a senior day matchup with Wilmington Saturday, January 20th at 1 p.m. in the Hammond Natatorium.
