Men's Soccer: Mount Union Drops Season Finale to Otterbein

Box Score

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's soccer team dropped to 8-8-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the conference after losing an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup on senior night by a score of 1-0 against Otterbein (15-2, 9-0) at Mount Union Stadium.

In a first half that was seemingly even on the stat sheet, it was also even on the scoreboard. The Cardinals outshot the Raiders 6-4 with each team having two corner kicks apiece. After 45 minutes of play, neither goalkeeper allowed a shot past them and the game went into halftime tied 0-0.

The second half was again close as Mount Union outshot Otterbein 8-4. However, the Cardinals scored the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute off the foot of Erick Juarez-Manning.

Sophomore goalkeeper Zach Hlas (Medina/Medina) had four total saves while playing all 90 minutes for the Raiders.

With the loss, Mount Union's men's soccer season has come to an end.
