Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio - Mount Union's No. 19 women's lacrosse team raced out to a 19-1 halftime advantage en route to a 22-4 victory over Muskingum Wednesday night at Mount Union Stadium in Alliance.
The Purple Raiders (13-0, 4-0 OAC) were led by four goals each from Taylor Pensyl (Kent/Kent Roosevelt), Katherine Doraty (Medina/Medina) and Katie Elder (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park).
Casey McHenry (Hudson/Hudson) played the first half in goal for the Raiders, making three saves in the win.
Muskingum (0-10, 0-3 OAC) was led by Ashley Adams with a pair of goals and Samantha Abrahamsen who made six saves in goal for the Muskies.
Mount Union scored the first nine goals of the game, three apiece from Pensyl and Doraty, to lead 9-0 in the first 10 minutes of the game.
Adams got Muskingum on the board at 23:07 before the Raiders rattled off 10 unanswered goals to lead 19-1 at the half.
The two teams each scored three goals in the second half to make the final count 22-4.
The women's lacrosse team will remain at home for a non-conference game against Concordia (Wisc.) on April 18 at 1:00 pm.
