ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union women's soccer team fell to Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Baldwin Wallace 4-1 on Tuesday.

Baldwin Wallace (9-4-2, 3-1) got on the board quickly in the second minute of the match as Rachel Bender found the back of the net to put the Yellow Jackets on top 1-0.

Mount Union (5-8, 1-3) answered in the 12^th minute as freshman Nicole Lanese (Macedonia/Nordonia) stole the ball from a defender and scored a breakaway goal to tie the game up 1-1.

The Yellow Jackets reclaimed the lead in the 64^th minute as Anna Poptic headed in a ball from Kelly Gough to put Baldwin Wallace up 2-1.

Baldwin Wallace went on to score two goals in two minutes starting in the 75^th minute by Cassandra Waickman and another in the 77^th minute by Rachel Bender as the Yellow Jackets extended their lead to 4-1.

The Purple Raiders continue OAC play as they next travel to Heidelberg on Saturday October 17 at 1 pm.
