LATROBE, Pa. -- The Mount Union women's swimming and diving team remain undefeated as they swim past St. Vincent, 161-101, on the road Friday evening.
Leading the way for the Purple Raiders were freshmen Megan Leibensperger (Uniontown/Green) and Dana Lautenschleger (Solon/Solon) who won two events they participated in.
Leibensperger won the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.12) and 500-yard freestyle (5:35.53) while Lautenschleger won the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.12) and 200-yard backstroke.
Others placing first in their events were Jessica Swanson (Uniontown/Lake) in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.93), Jessica Hirsh (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) in the 200 butterfly (2:22.12), Jacquelyn Jarachovic (North Olmsted/North Olmsted) in the 100-yard freestyle (55.86), Peyton Kranz (Berea/Berea) in the 200-yard breaststroke, Rose Aldo (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) in the 400-yard IM (4:57.79), and Lauren Lammlein (Uniontown/Hoover) in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:25.02).
Mount Union (4-0) returns to the pool Saturday, Nov. 8 as they host John Carroll at 1:00 pm in the home opener at Hammond Natatorium.
