Box Score BEREA, Ohio — Mount Union's women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Wednesday at Baldwin Wallace.
The Purple Raiders fall to 8-5-0, 1-3 in the OAC while Baldwin Wallace moves to 8-6-1, 4-0 in the OAC.
Baldwin Wallace scored first in the game when Kelly Gough placed a ball in the back of the net giving the Yellow Jackets the 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
A scoreless second half for either team would end the game in favor of Baldwin Wallace, 1-0 with BW outshooting Mount Union 8-3 while senior goalkeeper Maria Favorite (Chesterland/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) made five saves.
Mount Union returns home as they host Heidelberg in a Kick for the Cure game Saturday, Oct. 18 in an OAC matchup at 7 pm at Mount Union Stadium.
