Box Score BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Sophomore Shannon Evans (Newbury/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) scored her fifth goal of the season in Mount Union's 1-0 victory over Geneva College Saturday in Beaver Falls, Pa.
Evans' goal came during the 12th minute of play as Mount Union improved to 6-1-1 on the season. Geneva is 3-3 after the loss.
The Purple Raiders outshot the Golden Tornadoes 7-6, while junior Maria Favorite (Chesterland/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) had three saves to notch her fifth shutout on the season.
Mount Union next plays Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 4 pm at Grove City (Pa.).
