ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's lacrosse team lost to Otterbein Wednesday evening 12-5 at Mount Union Stadium.

The Purple Raiders (5-6) were led by freshman Toren Moore (Columbus/Hilliard-Darby) who tallied two points on two goals for the Raiders. Freshmen trio Hogan Harris (Medina/Medina), Josh Stephens (North Canton/Green) and Mike O'Connell (Dublin/Bishop Watterson) each scored one goal in the game all tallying one point apiece.

The Cardinals (9-4) were led by Mikey O'Neal who tallied five points on three goals and two assists for Otterbein. Andrew Donatelli chipped in with two points on two goals in the victory for the Cardinals.

Otterbein found the back of the net first with 12:25 remaining in the first period before Mount Union answered back with two goals taking the 2-1 lead into the second period.

Mount Union would score first in the second period as Moore would find the back of the net with 9:26 left in the period. Otterbein would score two goals to tie the game at three going into the halftime break.

The Raiders would score with 4:34 left in the third period as Otterbein answered back with a goal at 2:41. The game would be tied going into the last period of regulation, 4-4.

Otterbein would outscore the Raiders in the fourth period 8-1 going on for the 12-5 victory.

Mount Union hosts Houghton (N.Y.) Saturday, April 20th at 2:00 pm at Mount Union Stadium.
