MELBOURNE, Fla.—The Mount Union women's swimming & diving team earned a decisive 168-64 win over Florida Tech to remain unbeaten in dual meets. The Purple Raiders had seven different swimmers take first place during the meet.
Alyson Kolesar (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) and Courtney Gabel (Fremont/Fremont Ross) both had a pair of first place finishes for the Purple Raiders. Kolesar took first in the 50 yard freestyle (:26.66) and 100 yard freestyle (:58.26) while Gabel finished first in the 100 yard butterfly (1:02.62) and 100 yard breaststroke (1:10.35).
Also earning first place finishes for the Raiders were Taylor Harrison (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) in the 200 yard freestyle, Allison Davila (Middleburg Heights/Midpark) in the 200 yard breaststroke, Shelbey Mitchell (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) in the 100 yard backstroke, Sarah Noble (Copley/Copley) in the 200 yard butterfly, and Becky Mann (Louisville/Louisville) in the 500 yard freestyle.
Harrison, Davila, Noble, and Kolesar also teamed to take first in the 200 yard medley relay.
The Purple Raiders return to action on Saturday, January 14th when they travel to Ada to take on Ohio Northern.
