ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Deirdre Dick (Mansfield/Crestview) pounded home the game-winning goal to lift the Mount Union women's soccer team to a 1-0 Ohio Athletic Conference win over Marietta on Saturday at Mount Union Stadium.

Dick was assisted by Hailey Robinson (Ravenna/Ravenna) on the 78th-minute tally. Taryn Vespoint (Ravenna/Ravenna) claimed the shutout in net with seven saves.

For the Pioneers (2-8-2, 0-2-1), goalkeeper Kelly Sommers stopped seven shots.

The Purple Raiders (3-7-3, 1-2-0) will return to action on Tuesday with a 7 p.m. match versus OAC opponent John Carroll.
