(ALLIANCE, OH)--Mount Union College's women's soccer team was defeated 2-0 at home to Wilmington College in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Saturday in Mount Union Stadium in Alliance, Ohio.
The Purple Raiders now stand at 4-9-1 overall and 1-4 in the OAC, while Wilmington moves to 12-3 overall and remains undefeated in the OAC at 5-0.
It took Wilmington just 29 seconds to put its first goal on the board and the Raiders had a couple of chances in the half, but did not scoring trailing 1-0 at the break.
The Quakers put the insurance goal up in the 64th minute and went on to the 2-0 victory.
Junior goal keeper Kaitlyn Mallernee (Dover/Dover) kept Mount Union in the match with nine saves.
The Raiders next travel to Muskingum College for a OAC match Tuesday at 4 p.m. in New Concord.
